The British Council is a leader in championing the global creative economy through its Creative Economy programme, which focuses on policy, research, advocacy, and capacity building for creative professionals and policymakers. By fostering networks and promoting collaboration, we aim to create long-term impact and enhance international understanding.
Our work with policymakers ensures that the conditions are in place for creative individuals and organizations to thrive and drive sustainable change. Recently, the British Council Tunisia facilitated delegation opportunities for staff from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs to attend a Training of Trainers in Egypt, which is designed to empower facilitators to deliver the Creative Economy Policy Training Programme.
This programme equips policymakers with the practical skills needed to integrate the creative industries into their work, providing clear guidance on policy formulation and implementation, ultimately helping to embed the creative economy into local, regional, and national governance.
